Characteristics:


A yellow to brownish liquid with a warm-spicy, somewhat pungent, clove-like odor.

Principal Constituents:

Safety:


The leaf oil is relatively non-toxic; possible irritant because of the cinnamaldehyde. Eugenol is irritant to the mucous membranes. Use in moderation.
